This is an 'op ed' piece by a Mr. Rick Unger of Forbes.com.  I am finally pleased to see someone actually explain the truth about Social Security and the facts behind its current funding issues.  I am always rather frustrated with the number of people I encounter who simply do not understand or believe that this program is actually a huge success that is under attack by those who would like to get their hands on the funds supporting it.

Mr. Ungar does a good job in my opinion of laying it out very clearly and pointing the finger at those who are behind the efforts to undermine this program.  I am almost too old to care for myself but I am concerned about future generations including my own children.  They will have to try and survive in a hostile world if these short sighted individuals have their way.
